"Highlight of my Iceland trip!"
Did a glacier walk from Skaftafell with Hanae (apologies if that spelling is wrong!). She was incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable and tailored our walk to fit the interests and abilities of our group. The walk up the glacier was a bit more intense than I expected, but it was by far my favorite experience of the trip! The glacier visit starts out with a short bus ride to the foot of the glacier, followed but a climb up some loose rocks to reach the ice, and then ~2 hours of time on the glacier. Helmets, harnesses, crampons, and ice axes are provided. You can also rent hiking boots for an extra charge. I didn’t truly grasp the scale of the glacier until I was on it. And I really enjoyed learning about the geology of the glacier and how it impacts the surrounding areas. Was also excited that Hanae found a blue ice crevasse for us to explore. Can’t recommend this tour enough!

"Glacier Blue ice experience"
Excellent experience which we would recommend to anyone who has the interest to see the glaciers. We were part of a group of 14 perfectly lead by our guide Bart - nice ride to the entry point in big wheel bus and a really astonishing tour, with untere expiations of the glaciers autonomy - we felt safe at all time and the tour is manageable if you are in fair condition, we age 60 and 61 were fine with the tour - try it - It worth every penny.
